You may have seen cake pops around town, perhaps at your local Starbucks. Well, they're not as difficult to make as they seem. Here are the ingredients you will need:

1 box Cake Mix & ingredients on box
1 small container of frosting
Candy Melt topping (at least 2 bags)
Frosting, sprinkles or other toppings for decoration
Floral foam to put the pops in
Sticks to put in cake pops

Begin by baking the cake as directed on the box in a 9x 13 pan.

Let the cake cool completely, then crumble the cake in a bowl.

Add 3/4 of the container of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix completely.

Roll the cake mixture into small balls (whatever size you want your cake pops to be). Be sure that you leave plenty of time to do this step because it takes quite a while to roll it all into balls.
Place the balls in the freezer for 15 minutes (for the faster track) or in the refrigerator for several hours.

In the meantime, take one stick and punch holes in the floral foam.
Next, melt some of the candy melt topping in a bowl. Take a few of the cake balls out of the refrigerator or freezer. Dip the end of a stick in the candy melt topping, then place it into one of the cake balls.

Dip the cake ball into the candy melt and twist to remove the excess topping. Insert the stick into the floral foam and allow the candy melt topping to harden.
Once the candy melt is hard, you may drizzle frosting on top for decoration. Or, while the topping is still wet, you may press chocolate shavings, sprinkles, and other toppings into it before placing the stick in the floral foam. Allow it to cool completely before serving.

If you run out of sticks, you can make cake balls! They taste just as delicious as the cake pops. If you run out of space on the floral foam, you can place the cake pops on wax paper on a cookie sheet.

Enjoy the result! They are quite tasty, but I will warn you...you will be tempted to eat several of them at once. They won't last long, so enjoy them while they last!
